David H The critics are once again idiots Salma Hayek is a goddess in this movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Rosie P More than just your basic romantic comedy. Salma Hayek and Matthew Perry bring true soul to this movie. It portrays Salma's characters' Hispanic culture in an authentic and respectful manner. It's heartwarming without being too cheesy and fake felt. I usually can't stomach most romantic comedies but this one was trully special. P.S. watched it for the first time in 2024. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review Estuard F Comedia romántica de mis favoritas Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review bubblewrapstargirl One of my absolute favourite rom-coms. Perry and Hayek have serious chemistry, and the story is sweet, gentle and romantic without being mushy or too silly with the comedic elements. They're both utterly convincing in their roles as emotionally distant WASP Alex and free-spirited but family-oriented Isabel. I don't know how anyone could dislike this film, it's so satisfying. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/24 Full Review Marcus T I watched this because I'm a Salma Hayek fan, not so much Matthew Perry. There was nothing objectionable about it. The characters were likeable enough. Pretty standard RomCom affair. The script was a little weak. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Michael L Great rom com. Easy watching Sunday afternoon movie that will make you laugh the whole way through Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Mar 22, 2024 Full Review Todd McCarthy Variety There are emotional and character truths lurking about in Katherine Reback’s screenplay, but they are rendered more frivolous and caricatured than they needed to be. Oct 18, 2008 Full Review Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle Perry makes an awkward and unattractive leading man. But Hayek is all warmth and humor. When the film isn't making her look foolish, it's possible to see a hint of better things to come.
