Leone’s use of sparse, brooding silences and Ennio Morricone’s instantly recognisable score mean that the film’s soundtrack is just as effective as the striking visuals. Go to Full Review

The stage is set here for Sergio Leone’s coming masterpieces, which would transcribe this intense, unsettling energy onto a canvas large enough to fit all of its splenetic, bloodletting rage. Go to Full Review

Doesn't have the narrative strength of the first in the trilogy but individual scenes are still brilliant and each ingredient in just perfect, cast, score, tone... Go to Full Review

Cinema greatness! And to top it off, Leone has to have some of the most interesting and strange looking people populating his film that you'd swear Fellini loaned him a band of extras. Go to Full Review

Kevin P 31m A fantastic sequel with Clint Eastwood returning as the Man with No Name and teaming up with a rival bounty hunter played by Lee Van Cleef. They're both awesome in their own ways and their petty rival chemistry is so much fun to watch. The movie has great cinematography, especially when Lee Van Kleef stops the train and the final showdown. The main villain Indio is utterly despicable. I love how each main gun slinger has their own musical instrument leitmotif (flute, jaw harp, and music box). The climax is very exciting. There's a disturbing twist that Indio's supposed lost love was actually his unrequited assault victim and that he could never get his paws on, AND she was Mortimer's sister. It makes the final duel all the more satisfying when Mortimer gets his revenge. The film ends a great final shot of Eastwood pulls his bounties into the sunset. It's a great action adventure with a lot of heart with its three main characters. Easily the most underrated in the Dollars Trilogy. Captivating story, well written. Ennio Morricone again hits the mark with his musical score. Legendary cast all excels in character. Clint Eastwood may be bada$$, but the music stops only when Lee Van Cleef walks into a bar 😜 A couple of "Hollywood rules" broken here, must have been shocking to watch at the time of production (in his defense, Leone was unaware of these rules then:) Must see, for sure See more kevenquinlan Nov 15 The sequel. Oddly much different than the first= every bit as awesome. The Dollars Trilogy (mostly 1 and 2) belong in any collection and the direction is really great for such an old movie. See more Zachary K @ZacharyKing Nov 13 Slow start, great world building, even better ending. There was one slightly disturbing scene where I don't understand why certain choices were made, otherwise great movie, 8/10. See more Maksim S @MaksimusMovies Nov 1 For a Few Dollars More occupies a fascinating middle ground in Sergio Leone’s Dollars trilogy. While it occasionally confuses itself with overlapping schemes and pacing that lacks the relentless clarity of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, it remains a masterful study in style, tension, and character interplay. Leone’s meticulous framing, Morricone’s evocative score, and the magnetic presence of Eastwood and Van Cleef elevate the film beyond mere narrative mechanics. Ultimately, it stands as a masterpiece in its own right, and, like the trilogy as a whole, it can be appreciated independently — each entry is a self-contained exploration of revenge, cunning, and cinematic virtuosity.
