Wendy Ide Times (UK) Leone’s use of sparse, brooding silences and Ennio Morricone’s instantly recognisable score mean that the film’s soundtrack is just as effective as the striking visuals. Dec 29, 2023 Full Review Jake Cole Slant Magazine The stage is set here for Sergio Leone’s coming masterpieces, which would transcribe this intense, unsettling energy onto a canvas large enough to fit all of its splenetic, bloodletting rage. May 24, 2022 Full Review Kim Newman Empire Magazine Doesn't have the narrative strength of the first in the trilogy but individual scenes are still brilliant and each ingredient in just perfect, cast, score, tone... Graham M A stunning film, with comedy and drama. There are arguments against it but I'll never engage in them. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/24 Full Review Fer S I agree it is not as entertaining as A Fistful of Dollars, I felt it kind of dragged a bit more, but I found the characters and tension to be even more enjoyable than in the first movie. I just felt disappointed seeing such important villain being portrayed by the same actor as the previous movie, and not respecting continuity. I would have appreciated seeing a different actor, or actually allowing the previous villain to survive for a second round. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review Jay H This is my favorite of Dollars Trilogy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Audience Member Not as entertaining as A Fistful of Dollars, but still an absolute classic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/24/24 Full Review Chief B What can I say. Sergio Leone, Clint Eastwood, Lee von Cleef, Enio Morricone etc. A masterpiece Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/22/24 Full Review Zackary T My favorite of ' The Dollars Trilogy '. The chemistry and on screen friendship/team of Lee Van Cleef and Clint Eastwood is amazing and Gian Maria Volonté is wonderfully psychotic as always.
