For Worse is a gentle middle-aged rom-com that deliberately lowers expectations even as it faithfully hits all the genre beats. It’s an approach designed to charm without dazzling, and at that it succeeds admirably. Go to Full Review

This is a more-than-solid observational comedy with a melancholy undertone, reminiscent of early Albert Brooks movies like 'Modern Romance.' Go to Full Review

“For Worse” might be a tiny step among its kind, but it still feels like a leap for its thoughtful auteur [Amy Landecker], ultimately celebrating new beginnings as an ageless milestone. Go to Full Review

For Worse is clearly something of a personal project, but the film simply doesn’t attempt much more than to doggy paddle in the middlebrow waters of its own creation. Go to Full Review

The disarming coda succeeds in leaving you less resentful for having wasted 90 minutes of your precious life on something so inane. But not enough to lessen the urge to abandon this dud at the altar. Go to Full Review

When that clarity is found in For Worse, it’s treated more as confirmation than a delayed epiphany, which plays truer to life than orchestrated movie moments that plant those revelations in grandiose gestures and climaxes. Go to Full Review

jesse v 4d Somehow this is filmed like a Tv series like Parks and Rec and the Office, with a very loose story and a lot of improvised conversations and sexual jokes and gags with big MAIN CHARACTER SYNDROME. The usage of modern slang and terminology is forceful and there are so many unnecessary dancing scenes in the third act. The main theme of dating and sexualized age gaps not being a problem is very weird in today's age. See more Kathy Norton Mar 1 I loved this movie in all ways and Im not normally a romcom fan. The cast was great and the story was so funny and engaging! I laughed through the whole movie. Loved! See more Sandra S @sstingle 23h This is a wonderful thoughtful sophisticated rom-com that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. The actor, writer, director is an amazingly gifted woman who I am eager to follow. It is personal yet rings so many bells for so many. A hopeful story in the middle of a world of loss, divorce and broken lives and hearts. Amazing talent!! See more P C @Pauliiiiii 5d Loved it!!! Love shows that make you feel apart of them!! Amy is great!!! See more Sophie M @emeraldnavy 6d Charming is the best word I can think of for this. If you’re looking for an easy to watch and touching romcom, this is the movie for you.
