ashley h Force of Arms is an okay film. It is about an American sergeant and WAC lieutenant take time out for romance during World War II in Italy. William Holden and Nancy Olson give decent performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Michael Curtiz did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama and romance. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not in credits, but when this WWII romance/drama started seeming very familiar, I realized it was something of a WWII update of "A Farewell to Arms." It's nothing spectacular, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're a William Holden fan. This film was also the third pairing of Holden and the underrated Nancy Olson. Directed by Michael Curtiz, it's a classy film, but I couldn't help but feel the film had the potential to be great.
