I really wanted to love this Before Sunrise-lite UK film with its brilliant lead actors who know doubt hoped that this would be a showcase for their talents, but they are sadly let down by a script that unwittingly turns the characters into schizophrenics, and leads them into implausible plot twists that could have been handled much better. Fans of London will be amused by the geography, particularly as the couple seem to walk about twenty five miles without thinking about taking a bus or a taxi, and then visit a 'nearby' coffee shop that takes them from Whitehall to Drury Lane in one jump cut.

There's a clear comparison to be made here between 'Before Sunrise' as this film. it includes a love affair that develops in a big city over the course of less than a day, and it's almost as wordy too. Despite the fact that it may not be original it's still a strong film due to the strength of its script - with a few worthy emotional moments too.

Many of the reviews on here are for another film. This was a truly lovely film which I chanced upon on BBC iPlayer. It was touching and beautifully shot. Left me feeling sort of sweetly sad. And the two leads were wonderful.

Fans of Menzies, O'Reilly, and Jones will probably want to see Forget Me Not for their work here. Lovers of London may want to see the film for its fabulous shots of the city. It just is not a movie for those seeking a plausible cinematic romance.

Reminiscent of all-night encounter movies like Before Sunrise or In Search of a Midnight Kiss, this British drama has a terrific blast of honest humour and sharp music to undercut its somewhat sad tone.
