sherrie e As an adopted person, I loved the movie! Proof that adoptees need one another to find healing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Jacqueline A Very sweet movie! Tears definitely. It's nice to see China not put in such a negative light, and that it focuses on the girls and their perspectives. I hope it has inspired more children adopted from China to DNA test and try and find their birth parents. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Cat L At first I really wanted to like this documentary. However this film was very exploitative of the birth parents. They stayed with one potential birth family and seemed to be hanging on to their very private pain. It's difficult to understand how the film makers where hanging onto one family's every expression of pain, and even the girls could tell how disappointed in the results this family was. True crime can be good. But this soap opera thrust onto real people is beneath Netflix. It's cruel. The one bright light of this film was the private investigator Liu. She obviously took her job with seriousness, empathy and respect to everyone. Unlike the filmakers. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It's such a great documentary. The girls are amazing. Liu Hao is amazing. I hope the girls find their birth family. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review greg r I found myself wishing these girls would find their biological parents. But, this was still a beautiful journey worthy of taking. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review dave d 'Found' is a feature documentary about three Chinese girls living in America who are related. They get to know each other and decide to investigate why their parents gave them up for adoption. This is an important movie for anyone who's been adopted. These are the thoughts you go through and the journey for each of the three cousins is unique and nuanced. The film is a heartbreaking look at parents who gave their girls up for adoption because they were forced by the Chinese government. It's not for everyone, but if you connect with this doc the tears will flow from both joy and sadness. Final Score: 8/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Ryan Lattanzio indieWire It's fascinating to watch Liu carry out the process of identifying and locating the girls' parents, which starts as an ad on social media (the tool that enabled this whole project to exist at all) with photos of the children. Oct 20, 2021 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut [Found} isn’t the movie for you if you are looking for endless facts about the One China Rule. For that, watch Amazon Prime’s One Child Nation. Found is much more personal and intimate. It’s not just about personal identity, but a cultural one. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 21, 2022 Full Review Phil Guie Film-Forward.com Though Lily, Sadie, and Chloes journey is engrossing in and of itself, the figure who makes the film unexpected propulsive at times is Hao, who engages in old-fashioned detective work.
