It's a simple story with sincerely deep meanings. Completely unsentimental with tender and heartbreaking moments. It's clearly an homage to The 400 Blows and I dare say it's worthy of being compared to Truffaut's masterwork. The lead performance from the child is pitch-perfect. Easily one of my favorites from 2010.
