Audience Member For what is, it could've been a lot worse but this adaptation of Frankenstein is not a good film. It's very low budget and the free version on YouTube has a poor picture quality, but I bet the DVD and VHS releases look better. The acting is solid amongst most of the cast: Robert Powell is an alright Frankenstein but he's no Colin Clive or Peter Cushing. Carrie Fisher is given top billing despite being a relatively minor part of the film. However, she might be the best Elizabeth besides Helena Bonham Carter, but that is probably not saying much (when you think of Frankenstein, people usually don't think of Elizabeth). However, Carrie does a pretty competent job for what she is given, which isn't much. David Warner does a surprisingly great job as the creature (despite bad makeup) although he isn't Boris Karloff or Robert De Niro. His character development is pretty rushed, although this movie is barely feature length. I wouldn't reccomend this movie unless you are a hardcore Frankenstein fan, or you want to see Carrie Fisher's other roles for curiosity sakes.
