arlene m I only watched the first episode so unless Micheal Douglas' portrayal of Franklin suddenly developed an iota of the bon vivant, charismatic charm, wit, and overall intelligence Franklin was so revered for I won't be tuning in anymore. I know he is a producer and I have always been a fan of his but he is woefully miscast. He literally sucks the energy out of any room he is in. I fail to see how he charmed or cajoled the French into giving him dinner let alone their allegiance. Awful. Paul Giamati would have been way better. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review max n Being a Tasmanian, and living through the whole Save The Franklin campaign, this movie took me back to my late teens early 20's, The absolutely stunning imagery, and nostalgic flash backs, took me back in time. and gives me renewed appreciation of the hero's who put their lives on hold to protect this magnificent wild river. It's a must see. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Melissah M A great Australian movie, a portrayal of a significant event in our countries history that anybody from 12 years onward would find interesting. That moment when Bob Hawke intervened and took the Tasmanian Government to the High Court to ensure a decision over halting the dam, was something we will probably not see repeated. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/22/22 Full Review Richard F This is a beautifully shot and beautifully told story about transformation, protest, resilience and wily campaigning at the birth of the Green political movement in Australia. Non violent protest can be a powerful effect positive change., and this is an inspiring example of how it's possible for ordinary people to effect positive change.
