Audience Member Rosa (Nele Rosetz) is a professional fisherman who works hard and has been with Kirsten (Therese Hämer), a high-powered executive for the past year and a half, but cannot elicit a commitment from her. Enter two young women, Evi (Lea Graeger) and Olivia (Constanze Waechter) students on holiday and the delicate balance between the two older women is shaken to its core. A slow leisurely pace might deter others, but this viewer found it suited to this character study. What happens when the stability of a relationship is threatened? Can the relationship survive? Can it clarify desires and needs and help to forge the bonds that one or the other in a couple seems to crave? These questions and more are explored in this low-key German film. The questions are not entirely answered, but there are hints of what might happen after the credits roll. and in this case that was enough for this viewer.
