J Martínez What a beautiful film from start to finish. Amazing gem of an indie. Very intense, made me jump, cry, gasp, etc. However, then these lighter, touching moments would happen, little smiles, chuckles, the audience would laugh, letting you take a breath. The location and landscape are stunningly beautiful. So well acted, I wanted to embrace some characters and yell at others. The music is still in my head. Authentic and well-researched. Rated: 2.5/4.0 Dec 5, 2023 Full Review Alejandro Turdo Hoy Sale Cine In spite of its lengthy runtime, Freedom’s Path delivers a harrowing story about standing up for whats right and never take one step back. About choosing compassion over violence and the importance of bonding, even under the most grueling circumstances. Rated: 8/10 Oct 28, 2023 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills From the villain to the strained efforts at Terrence Malick-style lyricism, the film is earnest but sentimentally simplistic and plodding. It is, however, useful as a cinematic YA novel, taking a palatably approach to an ugly chapter in our history.
