There's no ostensible plot. Just scenes. And a running gag about the reincarnated soul of the family cat. And not one, but two aggressively unfunny "comedy" seance sequences. An endurance test. Go to Full Review

It's the kind of format that works as long as the characters aren't all completely unbearable - which is, alas, not the case here. Go to Full Review

Not a bad party to get stuck at but one with only one guest worth talking to. Go to Full Review

French Exit is the perfect mixture between drama and extremely dry humor. Michelle Pfeiffer exudes elegance with every scene she's in, and Lucas Hedges plays his usual endearing, supportive character. Go to Full Review

The film encourages a message of making the best of things but there is an aloofness to engage meaningfully with these characters. Go to Full Review

LESLIE 06/11/2021 Michelle Pfeiffer is fabulous. Her performance makes me realize that I've missed her presence on the screen. The rest of the cast is also wonderful. The movie itself is a bit bizarre. It will appeal to some and not others. See more Jay B 05/04/2021 Loved the characters and how they developed. See more Jennie S 04/30/2021 Loved it. Michelle seemed as though she was also clairvoyant See more Peter B 04/30/2021 This may be the best movie I've watched in five years. The character sketches and the drily witty dialogue, paired with the weirdness of the circumstances, made this a compelling viewing. I loved the movie more than I've enjoyed a lot of real world for the past year and a half. See more John 04/22/2021 It could have been shorter, I think the movie was too long for the story it tells. It would be more enjoying if it was really 1 hour 43 minutes (it is 2 hour 10 minutes in reality). See more Hannah Hannah 04/21/2021 This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It doesn't deserve even half a star, even though Michelle is worth looking at. See more Read all reviews
