My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard…or maybe I was retching. Braff is bad, but in his defense, he’s got a garbage screenplay to work with. Other than some tasty-looking French dishes, there’s almost nothing to recommend about French Girl.

This is a light-hearted, sweet movie. Yes, it’s a little Disney-esque but it has redeeming qualities in that the embarrassing moments aren’t as painful as the movies critics here are comparing it to. Definitely not Meet the Parents, that is a horrible movie. This is not. If you like romantic comedies, you will like this. If you like contemporary romantic comedies, you will like it even more. Throw in Zach Braff and food and farm and a perfect villain In Vanessa Hudgens and you had me at hello. The family is sweet and members are not over the top in their portrayals.

It's your typical "B-Movie" rom-com. A poor man's "Meet The Parents" if you will. I'm Scrubs/Zach fan so it gets an extra 1/2 star.

French Girl really doesn't do anything new. While Zach Braff does his best, it's not really enough to make up for the humour that doesn't land, the clichéd tropes of the genre and the unreasonable characters. It's better than Madame Web though.

It's an assumed rom-com with no pretention and it delivers. The jokes are funny both in english and in french; people in the theater were laughing out loud. My wife an I had a great date night at the movies, what else can you expect from a comedy?

Being a romantic comedy...reasonably well with some funny moments but also too much bad stereotyping, have seen it in French and the post sync. was bad enough to noticeable throughout the movie. And sadly the scenario was so predictable...that you knew what funny gag moment would be used throughout out the film...what save them some times was their perfect execution.

What a nice surprise. The entire theater was laughing for the duration of the film. Good jokes, great story, the actors are pleasant, really a great experience and a comedy to watch again. What a great way to show the beautiful Québec city. The chemistry between the actors is also amazing. Don't trust the haters, it's a great comedy.
