Félix T It's an assumed rom-com with no pretention and it delivers. The jokes are funny both in english and in french; people in the theater were laughing out loud. My wife an I had a great date night at the movies, what else can you expect from a comedy? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review pasdenom i Being a romantic comedy...reasonably well with some funny moments but also too much bad stereotyping, have seen it in French and the post sync. was bad enough to noticeable throughout the movie. And sadly the scenario was so predictable...that you knew what funny gag moment would be used throughout out the film...what save them some times was their perfect execution. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Acid B What a nice surprise. The entire theater was laughing for the duration of the film. Good jokes, great story, the actors are pleasant, really a great experience and a comedy to watch again. What a great way to show the beautiful Québec city. The chemistry between the actors is also amazing. Don't trust the haters, it's a great comedy. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Bruce H Despite the critics who are always looking for an Oscar winner this movie was a fun rom/com. Especially if like me you're from Quebec and have fun with french Canadian humour and beautiful Quebec City. Loved Evelyne Brochur as the french girl and her family!!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Arthur V Really wasn't expecting much, but I do like Zach Braff's work, so I watched. Very enjoyable. A throw-back rom-com, some great performances - especially Zach - and just a very charming comedy that they don't make much of. Real people, real emotion, and great script. Fully enjoyed this movie. Surprised at the critics on this one, what's not to like people? We need more of these. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review Daniel S A throw back to old time yarns except with contemporary ambiguous sexuality added. The protagonists are a couple that resemble Celine Dion with John Ritter - if you can imagine Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/21/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Lisa Kennedy Variety For every inventive or simply satisfying rom-com, there are dozens of clumsy, rote ones — “French Girl” falls among the latter. Mar 14, 2024 Full Review Amy Nicholson New York Times There are at least a dozen good zingers in here, particularly a three-part punchline from Ed Weeks as a snobbish food critic that kicks off with, “Have you ever seen an emaciated dolphin?” The trouble is none of the performances are on the same wavelength Mar 14, 2024 Full Review Radheyan Simonpillai Globe and Mail French Girl’s crude and at times infantile slapstick humour is offset by livelier beats between the cast, whose cross-cultural banter is littered with flashes of genuine wit. Mar 14, 2024 Full Review Sandie Angulo Chen Common Sense Media Likable actors can't save this uneven, cringe-worthy romcom. Mar 25, 2024 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...the picture’s been suffused with a whole host of contrived, unappealing attributes that slowly-but-surely render its positives moot... Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 24, 2024 Full Review Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard…or maybe I was retching. Braff is bad, but in his defense, he’s got a garbage screenplay to work with. Other than some tasty-looking French dishes, there’s almost nothing to recommend about French Girl.
