Audience Member Hilarious movie about in both of Canada's main languages. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Je m'attendais à pire. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A decent ensemble performance with interesting characters, but it unfortunately tends toward the way-too-cliche in the end: settling differences with a hockey game, for instance, (using jersey recycled from Bon Cop, Bad Cop... seriously), or the classic "get on the plane but at the last minute get off the plane" rom-com ending. Enjoyable for a while, with a couple of big laughs, even, but wears out before the end. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Now here is a fun, light and a happy feel good film. I completely loved the simplicity and yet fun spirit of the movie and the end was extremely satisfying... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent film! Très drôle et très intà (C)ressant! Je lève mon chapeau à toute l'à (C)quipe! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Bien ordinaire, mes sympathiques. Radheyan Simonpillai NOW Toronto The clash between anglophones and francophones is territory ripe for comedy, but this laboured attempt at humour doesn't bear fruit. Rated: 1/5 Oct 7, 2011 Full Review Stephen Cole Globe and Mail Funny in both official languages, French Immersion is the story of career-conscious English Canadians who flock to a small Quebec town to meet a Tremblay and learn French. Rated: 3/4 Oct 7, 2011 Full Review Greg Quill Toronto Star An embarrassment from beginning to end, a silly, laugh-deprived farce designed to poke fun at an issue - the two solitudes and their language rights - that has as much currency as the length of Farley Mowat's beard. Rated: 1.5/4 Oct 6, 2011 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews The end result is a movie that often comes off as a pilot episode for a new CBC sitcom... Rated: 2/4 Feb 28, 2012 Full Review Liz Braun Jam! Movies If this sounds silly, it is, but it's also very funny. Both English and French Canadians get to be the butt of the jokes.
