Audience Member Absolutely atrocious. I was subjected to an barrage of pissing, masturbating and other gross things that made me want to go have a nice clean shower and then scrape out my own eyes. I realise its kind of the point to make the viewer feel uncomfortable but its neither funny nor well acted nor anything positive really. If you read this, save yourself a big headache and neckpain from trying to look away as efficiently as possible. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member favourite movie of all times. incredible details. it gets even more fantastic every time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny and relatable... This is the 'French Pie' I fell in love with the beautiful Aurore... Sad that the film ended without her and Herve being together... Perhaps there'll be a continuation...? Nah... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Only two, three funny scenes the rest is boring and pointless. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely delightful french coming of age comedy. One of the funniest films of the year, so honest and cringe worthy a real cinematic treat! We were lucky enough to see this film in one of its first international screenings after it played at Cannes. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Simon Abrams House Next Door As demeaning as it may be to present French Kissers as a Gallic version of Gregg Mottola's Superbad, the comparison is necessary to show how Riad Sattouf's film differs from Mottola's in its hormone-crazed nostalgia. Feb 25, 2011 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald The script covers the same things as most teen movies -- getting together, breaking up, being horrible, making up, yelling at your parents -- but Sattouf makes it fresh with credible performances from these non-actors. Rated: 4/5 Jan 10, 2010 Full Review Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) How many teen comedies do you see where the hero is troubled by pimples -- and not just a token few? That's an early sign that Riad Sattouf's funny first feature isn't going to play by the rules. Rated: 3/5 Dec 23, 2009 Full Review Jean-Philippe Tessé Cahiers du Cinéma By lowering its protagonists’ age to 14 (a recent teen movie was called 17 Again, note the “again”), by limiting their concerns to their immediate, organic, instinctual, often slightly grimy concerns, French Kissers captures adolescence at zit-level. Jun 6, 2022 Full Review Laura Clifford Reeling Reviews ...costar Noémie Lvovsky ("Actresses") is a hysterical high point as Hervé's mom who has an unflappable interest in his sex life whether it be singular or plural. Rated: B Jun 18, 2010 Full Review Sean Axmaker Parallax View If there is a message... it's that boys are dumb, self-involved, insensitive and more obsessed with the idea of sex than the reality of it.
