Lynda M Cast is good, and story ok, but execution of the film was mediocre. I feel it could have been way better with a more polished director. I had a hard time becoming engaged with the characters and Matt leaving "all" for Jewel wasn't really believable. They didn't seem to have much in common. Background music was terrible. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/19/24 Full Review Scott B I think this is a guilty pleasure. Certainly worth a watch. Ringwald and McCarthy have good chemistry. Supporting cast includes lots of familiar faces (Viggo Mortensen). Soundtrack could use an upgrade. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/18/24 Full Review Richard W I really liked it .great acting decent story line . Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review david f Andrew McCarthy and Molly Ringwald are both great, and the Cincinnati backdrop is really interesting for a movie from this time but the plot - about a college student who's engaged and set on a certain course in life before he falls for a lower-class mystery woman that changes everything - leaves much to be desired. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Fresh Horses is one of my favorite movies. It's a tragic love story about a guy who falls in love with a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Almost nonsensical, the leads gave it their best shot and Ben Stiller seemed to only be the strong, convincing actor and character.
