dave s Fubar falls into that grey zone of something that you want to love but just can't quite get over the hump. It's a mockumentary that follows the drunken exploits of a pair of headbangers from Calgary, one of whom is dealing with testicular cancer. Despite the subject matter, there are some laughs along the way but after you've seen an impaired man-child fall into a bush for the tenth time things start to feel a bit stale. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Landon J Passes the time with a few dumb "laughs" but its scripted heavily with horrid acting, and how you can love these idiotic character's is beyond me. So that takes away from it. Too much of that brainless dumb in it for me . Watch it once. Don't expect greatness or laughter beyond belief. Its cheap. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/12/21 Full Review Audience Member Made me laugh a lot, though it probably would have worked better as a short film; sometimes the gag gets a little tiresome. I kind of hated the director character (in a bad way, he was annoying and the actor was very unconvincing, especially in a mockumentary) but his presence did lead to one hilarious smash cut. It's all dumb as hell, but pretty entertaining. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Mock documentary on two metalheads lacking direction. Certainly has its moments, such as the dynamic with old friend 'Tron', and these are characters that you can probably relate to. Seemed to go a bit off track with the cancer subplot and the untimely death of the producer/director. Memorable for its unofficial endorsement of Old Style Pilsner beer. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A Lot Of Heart & Some Spectacularly Tragic Moments. But Not Enough To Keep Me Glue-Eyed On What Will Possibly Happen Next!? Credit For Low-Budget Thrills..Nothing Much Else. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Just fuckin' give'r man. FUBAR is kind of brilliant. It's a stupid, lowbrow, white trash comedy with a surprisingly deep and unsettling undertone. The performances are natural, the laughs are hard and the emotions are real. Love it.
