I thought it was very thoughtful semi-documentary, made by a friend who really appreciated Gabriel. My wife thought it was slow and boring. Africa - except for the very high mountains, that scenery reminded me so much of Brazil and the culture not that different, that I wouldn't see the real reason to travel there.

Between a 6/10 and 7/10, this ends up being a perceptive and poetic hybrid of documentary and fiction. It both captures and gently critiques Gabriel's free-spirited, adventurous sensibility.

By using the same locations that the real-life Gabriel visited in his travels as well as people who met him along his way playing themselves, Felipe Barbosa creates a profoundly moving character study that blurs the line between reality and fiction to near perfection.
