Halfway through a train ride from Wales to Russia, the car carrying the teacher chaperones for an art school field trip is separated from the one that the students are on, leaving the teenagers to fend for themselves once they arrive in St. Petersburg. As the teachers attempt to put aside their differences and hitchhike their way to the Russian capital, the impressionable young students embark on a series of adventures that will change their lives forever.
