Despite a charming young cast of leads, the live-action Gantz is an ill-paced array of stops and starts with some okay special effects that never quite reaches any potential it may have. Go to Full Review

Anderson O @Platinum2027 May 23 Live action Gantz dumbs down the characters for you as the viewing audience to get the rules of Gantz. Visual effects are good, movie is lame through its plot points. Truly it’s starts as.m something intriguing, then slows down to dumb down for its audience. The 2 hour and 30minutes of runtime isn’t worth it. See more 07/28/2021 This was about as good as you're going to be able to do in a live action version of a dark, high concept story. I loved it, I went backwards from the anime movie, to the manga, to the live action, well not backwards, out of order, and thought this was really well done. Everything's amazing with this one except for the open ending. I got shit scared and major thrilled on how the characters will survive on the first 30 mins of the film.
