Audience Member The fifth part of a seven (or eight if you include the later movie) series that stands out above the rest. If you have never seen The Garden of Sinners (Americanized), or, Kara no Kyoukai (loosely translated as Boundary of Emptiness/Nothingness) then you will not be disappointed. This is an anime that stands out above the rest. The animation by UFOTable is absolutely amazing, the soundtrack is equally spectacular, and the story will have you e-mailing your Philosophy Professor that you haven't spoken to in ten years. Oddly, this is the only movie in the series to be listed on Rotten Tomatoes. The entire collection needs to be taken in as a whole because every chapter is woven together in non-linear fashion. If you are an anime fan then this is the anime that will make nearly all other anime seem amateur. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A lot of the film was just walking and talking, so there really isn't much excitement to be had from those moments. Also, if it wasn't for the amazing action scene in the middle, I would have said that the entire film was a tad on the boring side. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A movie with philosophical themes, a well-written script, and with stunning visuals never satisfied me with my mind literally blowing up. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member this is part 1 from a 7 movie series. overall score about 2,5 - 3 out of 5 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm docking marks just cause of Movie 6, which is too much of a "magical girl" movie. But man, this is where Kinoko Nasu originated in his storytelling and it's where everything began. No, it's not for everyone and it's pretty obtuse at times. But all 7 movies are right up the alley of any Type-Moon fan. The special Blu-Ray is decent, but not for the extra chapter... Getting them to re-arrange the episodes in chronological order was genius. On excellent moment :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
