07/07/2020 The bombing of Guernica is one of the great tragedies of all wars, and a devastating example of Franco's oppression of the Basque people. However, this movie is overly dramatic with the lead male's performance leaden and amateurish. Making the Soviets evil was also manipulative and almost childish. The Spanish actors were excellent, but wasted in this silly film. The nude scene was also terribly manipulative and unnecessary. The Guernica bombing is a horrific example of fascist disregard of humanity. It deserves more than this poorly executed film. See more 02/02/2017 Very poor and stereotypical plot.
