See more 02/01/2013 a surprisingly fascinating documentary about the possible rediscovery of a previously extinct species. This offers a very balanced & unobtrusive look at the blind hope that this bird has given to so many. The filmmakers show the cause & effect of so many other extinctions, without being preachy about it. See more 12/23/2012 I still think they exist... :) This movie hits home, literally. Loved it. See more 07/28/2011 any story about the ivory billed woodpecker always catches my eye so i've been highly anticipating this doc ever since i heard on NPR a few years ago that it was being shot. it did not disappoint - beautiful HD of the arkansas swamps, fun interviews with the locals, illuminating interviews with ornithological giants (sibley!), and just the mystery of it all just totally captured me. love it.
