Audience Member Like previous films and reports that fetishize an individual's journey to extremism, this documentary is disrespectful and a disservice to the many innocent victims of ISIS. At minimum, the filmmaker could have mentioned the extent of the vicious crimes committed by ISIS such as the brutal murders of children or the sex slave camps and that the film's character in focus had likely participated in. Instead, the film portrays 'Mark' as the victim and we are only barely told through his friends that his choice was a poor one. No film about ISIS should ever ignore the victims and yet this film fails them so terribly. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I was expecting some kind of action and was left with too many unanswered questions. Was a bit of a watse in my opinion. There was a good story there that just kind of went missing. I was intrigued in the beginning and then it lost me Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a wonderfully told documentary. It is short, no longer than it needs to be, and tells a compassionate story that I think needs to be told. It has an interesting style and feels personal and heartfelt— perfect for the story that is being told. It also gives just enough information. What we already assume, we don't need to be told. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The way this is done makes it a must see. A very important expose. Done to a different perfection. Check it out. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Inconclusive documentary. Former friends of Mark, the so called Ghosts of Sugar Land, don’t offer any real or interesting insight into the story. If they’re as misinformed as I am, I don’t care what they have to say. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/19 Full Review Audience Member Good documentary. Nice story and good information and Netflix do a bad job by not make all the faces hidden all the time. Plus never address or say what are the questions that Mark asking and answer right so the general public not make the mistake of Mark a get misinformation. This is a documentary just for Sugar Land residents by kipper a local topic. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
