Jason R A good film overall, a few memorable scenes and songs Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Josh G The music is sharp and sprinkled throughout and this is a silly an simple film with a very likable film star. It's a solid mid-rom-com and fun to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/02/24 Full Review Red T This may be the most boring of the Elvis movies I've seen. It's a shame because the first half actually isn't that bad. The music numbers are decent voerall but defintely are catchier and more mmeorable in the first half. The puppet show, lullaby, singing on the gondola, and the show for the soldiers at the end were so forgettable or subpar. The pacing is the weakest point and isn't that good really because the second half just gets sooooo boring. It feels like the plot of getting girls to play for the show/nightclub just gets lost in between music numbers and things just happening including the sub plots of the relationships with the other girls with the other soldiers. Everything else about this is just mediocre overall. The supporting cast is the definition of forgettable, generic, one dimensional and all of them blend in. I seriously can't tell you one thing about his friends or who was who. But the biggest issue is how boring this gets in the second half with the baby, pointless romance with no conflict or chemistry, and there feels like there is no climax in this really. Honeslty unless your a die hard Elvis fan I'd say skip this and even if your a hardcore fan just watch the songs on Youtube for this instead of the boring non music parts.
