Paul Freitag-Fey Daily Grindhouse A heartfelt and likeable little tribute that should make for a fond evening for vintage monster movie buffs. Aug 2, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Bubba M Surprisingly watchable. Much better dialogue than what you'd expect from the average zero budget horror movie. Playful low budget CGI. Great 50's soundtrack. I would actually watch this again. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Set your expectations right and Gila is decent, campy fun on a Saturday afternoon. A little disappointing in that is had the potential to be so much more. The acting is cheesy, but the actors are good, unfortunately a lot of the dialogue is almost a parody of 50's monster/horror and the characters remain largely undeveloped stereotypes. The film is plagues by too many careless anachronisms as well. If they'd spent a bit more time to refine and polish, it could have been much, much better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a nice tribute to the original film that doesn't take itself too seriously or too goofy. The characters are enjoyable, the CGI is above average for a b-movie, and the pacing is decent. A few bumps in the road, and the film won't be for everyone, but I find it fairly pleasant and enjoyable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
