Prabhjot K Perfect movie. Absolute perfection. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review steve d Uninterested in anything but making little kids laugh. They won't. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member When Skylar Lewis, a savvy tween, accidentally releases a ghostly evil in her town, she discovers that she is a fifth-generation monster hunter. With the help of her right hand, Sadie, Skylar must defeat the monsters during a thrilling Halloween party. "Girl Vs. Monster Was Reminiscent Of Those Disney Classics We Know And Love Such As ‘Halloweentown' And ‘Twitches'. Action-Packed And Full Of Family Friendly Scares, The Movie Maintained A Ghostbuster-esque, Cartoon-ish Vibe. The Cast Constantly Entertains And The Story Flows Steadily. The Campy Visual Effects And Catchy Soundtrack Give The Movie That Creepy Monstober Ambience That All Of Us 90's And 2000's Babies Were Partial To; So It's Safe To Say That This Was The Last Satisfactory Original Disney Horror Film… 71%! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Olivia Holt played Dagger in the adaption of the Marvel Comic Cloak and Dagger. She stars in this series — which is a little like Elsa Bloodstone from the Marvel Universe — as Skylar Lewis, the daughter of two monster hunters who must deal with Deimata, the demon that haunted her grandfather and now is making her life horrible. Seeing as how this is a Disney Channel TV movie, this is closer to a song and dance teen dramedy than the slam bang monster mash that you may be hoping for. That said, there's fun here for younger viewers and solid direction from Stuart Gillard, whose career stretches from the Willie Aames and Phoebe Cates adventure film Paradise and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III to the remake of The Initiation of Sarah, the sequel WarGames: The Dead Code and plenty of episodic television. What I liked most was the design of the wepaonry, which really feels steampunk in the best of ways, and the fact that every main character had their very own fear demon that can only be defeated in very specific ways. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A great concept, message, and lead in Olivia Holt couldn't outweigh the erratic pace and muddled script. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A Disney-style ghostbuster movie with a small bit from its own. Too generic Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Laura Fries Variety The pic is akin to a good piece of Halloween candy that's sugary sweet on the outside but has a chewy surprise in the middle. Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Emily Ashby Common Sense Media This is a fun choice for families who like Halloween thrills without the slasher-style blood spills. Rated: 4/5 Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed It's a very pleasing Halloween treat. Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Rachel Wagner Rachel's Reviews (YouTube) It's actually quite clever.
