Synopsis
This documentary explores the lives of four girls. De'Yona Moore is raised by her strict but loving grandmother, who encourages her to hold herself to a high standard. Raelene Cox is a teen mom struggling to raise a child while dealing with her drug-addicted family. Lisa Bronca attends Catholic school and is curious about dating. Anna Chau, the teenage American daughter of Vietnamese parents, is forbidden to socialize with boys. Over several years, the girls experience hope and heartbreak.
