Audience Member Underrated MGM musical directed by Stanley Donen; a likable score and the chance to see Bob Fosse in a featured role add pep to a routine backstage plot. Future "Deep Throat" co-star Helen Wood (Dolly Sharp) has a featured role. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member As far as B pictures go, this MGM trifle is pleasant enough. The plot is fairly routine and the production values shoestring, but anything with Bob Fosse in an acting role is worth seeing. Debbie Reynolds is pretty cute, too. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Some good dancing but strictly routine musical. The performers do their best but the script lets them down. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Bouncy but routine fluff musical. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm not sure why this became one of Donen's lesser-knowns. Maybe because it focuses more on dance than songs? At any rate, it's delightful, and Bob Fosse and Debbie Reynolds get a few dance duets together. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical musical that will turn up being some high school's senior play. Best part: Bob Fosse.
