When I was watching Glitter I was like, oh wow the story is unoriginal & uninteresting, oh wow the writing is extremely dull and lazy, oh wow the characters are forgettable and generic, and oh wow the soundtrack is insufferable & uninspiring. Not to mention the latter being released on the same day during the 9/11 attacks, it's a good thing she moved on to Charmbracelet because this movie & it's soundtrack are atrocious.

Someone needed to tell Mariah Carey to slow down, and glitter does just that. A lame film, embarrassing to watch that shows a great music star that she is not good at everything she sets out to do or wants to do.

I watched expecting the worst from what I heard about the movie in the past 1. { the singing is good not a surprise but you should listen to the album} 2. Mariah Carey's acting was not as bad as I thought it would be but it defentily was not amazing more like Mediocre.. 3. It had a pretty good cast, and it's sad it flopped due to a bad time period in American History 4. The movie is a cliche-ish yes it was predictable between billy and her music producer but at the same time there is some unexpected parts to the story especially the ending to the love story 5. This good to watch on a late night for the type of movies are just "meh, not my favorite but def not the worst" 6. Mariah did not deserve the worst actress award

I watched Glitter and tbh I was not expecting it to be amazing from the negative reviews it was getting but I have to admit it was not that bad . yes , the movie might be about Mariah's life , yes it might be a little cliche , but it is not terrible or half bad at all I think if it was realist earlier and not when people were not going to the movies I thought it could have made at least 50 million. Additionally besides Mariah the acting is not bad at all it actually has a pretty decent cast and it is a good cult classic or a good movie to watch if you if you think the movie is going to be bad but its ok/ or mid
