In a fantastical summer romance set to the iconic hits of the Grammy Award-winning, trailblazing Indigo Girls, GLITTER & DOOM follows the love-at-first-sight connection between carefree circus performer Glitter (Filipino star Alex Diaz) and struggling musician Doom (UK newcomer Alan Cammish). An undeniable spark throws them into a summer of camping trips, late-night conversations, and innovative song-and-dance numbers -- until the real world comes calling. Their relationship is put to the test as Doom confronts the realities of finding success in the music industry and Glitter has an opportunity to run away to Paris as a circus performer. Glitter and Doom struggle to make sense of their whirlwind summer while staying true to themselves and pursuing their dreams.

The architecture of the film is so rickety there's nothing to hold onto. Just sit back and ride the waves of the music. Go to Full Review

There is a version of an Indigo Girls musical that tugs on the heartstrings, makes us fall in love, and soothes us. Sadly, Glitter & Doom leaves us with fading hopes as the minutes tick away. Go to Full Review

"Glitter & Doom" attempts to take the jukebox movie musical to new heights. Unfortunately, it just keeps getting in its own way. Go to Full Review

Glitter & Doom will likely feel especially meaningful for queer viewers in terms of having a romantic film that caters to them specifically. Go to Full Review

For The Love of Cinema 03/23/2024 Great gem for fans of the band. Equally fun for people looking for a queer romance. See more Noah 03/12/2024 This is such a wonderful story. The actors are fantastic, the music is terrific. I love the new takes on the iconic Indigo Girls songs. I cant recommend this film enough. Go see it! See more JP D Feb 2 As a fan of the Indigo Girls for decades, I enjoyed hearing their songs with a different take, or hearing a well known lyric dropped in as dialogue. The story was touching, okay, but I mostly liked the IG influence on the movie more than the plot. It wasn’t bad, I just probably wouldn’t have checked it out otherwise. It was unnecessarily long. See more P K Jan 21 Great hidden gem, really a beautiful well done and heartfelt movie. See more E J 04/10/2024 We loved this quirky romance with a soundtrack that lifts it so high. So glad it will be able to become a hit online. See more andyiswonderful 03/27/2024 We left after about 25 minutes, which is rare for us. The characters were annoying. No empathy was established for the two leads, so we didn't care what happened to them. See more Read all reviews
