In a fantastical summer romance set to the iconic hits of the Grammy Award-winning, trailblazing Indigo Girls, GLITTER & DOOM follows the love-at-first-sight connection between carefree circus performer Glitter (Filipino star Alex Diaz) and struggling musician Doom (UK newcomer Alan Cammish). An undeniable spark throws them into a summer of camping trips, late-night conversations, and innovative song-and-dance numbers -- until the real world comes calling. Their relationship is put to the test as Doom confronts the realities of finding success in the music industry and Glitter has an opportunity to run away to Paris as a circus performer. Glitter and Doom struggle to make sense of their whirlwind summer while staying true to themselves and pursuing their dreams.

There is a version of an Indigo Girls musical that tugs on the heartstrings, makes us fall in love, and soothes us. Sadly, Glitter & Doom leaves us with fading hopes as the minutes tick away.

This is such a wonderful story. The actors are fantastic, the music is terrific. I love the new takes on the iconic Indigo Girls songs. I cant recommend this film enough. Go see it!

As a fan of the Indigo Girls for decades, I enjoyed hearing their songs with a different take, or hearing a well known lyric dropped in as dialogue. The story was touching, okay, but I mostly liked the IG influence on the movie more than the plot. It wasn’t bad, I just probably wouldn’t have checked it out otherwise. It was unnecessarily long.

We left after about 25 minutes, which is rare for us. The characters were annoying. No empathy was established for the two leads, so we didn't care what happened to them.
