Andy Webster New York Times Mr. Miller is far too leisurely - and takes far too much time - with a story largely blind to the sometimes fatal cost of fanaticism. Rated: 2/5 Oct 27, 2011 Full Review Andrew Schenker Slant Magazine The film is far more successful when it either focuses on the central family or suggests via visual means the odd correspondences between cult and town. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 23, 2011 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International Long, slow but sometimes sharply observed drama about cultural differences and efforts to breach them. Oct 28, 2011 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice An exploration of the spiritual challenges of membership in a religious cult that is obsessed with the end of the world and an escape to paradise.
