This was one of my favourite Godzilla movies. Visually pleasing, with great philosophical dilemmas and jaw dropping finale. Reimagining of Mechagodzilla as a city was spot on. It goes without saying, Takayuki Hattori wiped the floor with the soundtrack.

I honestly like this too, it didn't bored me because I'm hooked about the story on what they're planning and what they're saying. I'm not just a Godzilla fan who wants a fight immediately in under 10 minutes haha. Same opinion in this movie just like the first one, I liked the strategy that they did in this film too even though it's just a bit different in the first one but I liked it so 4.5 stars!

Also not good ,like the first one there where like ten minutes that weren't bad and quite enjoyable but after all still awful even worse than the first because it didn't made sense and like the first it almost had nothing to do with the original movie

Probably the most boring thing ever made. It is a huge waste if time. And it's also the longest in the trilogy! The movie is important to the trilogy tho, if you plan to watch the third movie, than this one is necessary (but boring af)

I haven't an inkling why they made Mechagodzilla what it is in this movie. I'd like to think that it is some kind of attempt at subversion that just landed flat on its face because they didn't know where it was supposed to go beyond its concept, besides the whole point about rejecting humanity for the protagonist. There is just something so reckless in showing the biggest Godzilla on screen and then completely diminishing its size by putting it into a nanometal city where every single dome towers over him. This deadliest monster on Earth didn't even wreck the city; poor Haruo did for him. The lad finally gets some kind of development, realizing that there are indeed lines he isn't ready to cross in order to kill the monster. As I said, the entire concept of a nanometal Mechagodzilla city is silly and poorly thought out, and the fact that it just boils down to yet another trap that they lure Godzilla into to then just do the same EMP foolery but with nanometal Gundam suits is simply demoralizing.

Ready Steady Cut

Second in the new anime Godzilla trilogy, this film centres on an attempt to reclaim Earth from a monster bigger than any seen before. A lot of strategizing and philosophising... but it does get very exciting!
