The human subplots have a dozen different storylines and none of them are about Godzilla or Mechagodzilla. From hidden Interpol agents, space alien invaders, ancient statues and prophecies, psychic girls, robot parts, to investigating journalists. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974) is a goofy mess. At least the kaiju battles are amusing.
