When a Frenchman mistakes nightclub owners Duke Dennis (Allen Jenkins) and Terry Moore (Rudy Vallee) for ballet impresarios, the New Yorkers turn it into a business opportunity. Invited to bring dancers to Paris, Duke and Terry, along with ballet instructor Luis Leoni (Fritz Feld) and dancer Kay Morrow (Rosemary Lane), start their journey. But when the man who mistakenly invited them learns they're exploiting his mistake, he and a thuggish friend chase them, setting up a showdown in Paris.

Meanwhile, Kay finds herself stuck in an acrobatic harness, Terry's ex-wife Mona does some good by getting the competition extradited from Paris, and the gendarme commits vandalism.
