You buy into the story because you buy into Sam's plight, her awkward missteps and glorious triumphs, and Quinn makes that story take flight.

It's the maturity of the two teens that shines through, showing the wherewithal to pull themselves out of their own jams and grow up a little in the process, though thankfully not enough to keep "Good Girls Get High" from being an awfully fun time.

This is a lovely hidden gem. Good Girls Get High came out a year before Booksmart and there are strong similarities between the premises of the two movies, but in many ways this is the better film. Abby Quinn and Stefanie Scott are both a delight, the writing is funny, and the character development is both interesting and believable.

O.MG. My daughter and I just watched this movie together and we were laughing out loud!! I had to pause it multiple times to catch my breath and rewind. I am not even kidding. This movie is funny funny funny! I am 58 and my daughter is 12. She said that it is now her second favorite movie next to Bridesmaids. I cannot recommend this movie enough!!!
