"Goodbye, Petrushka" is a quirky, heartfelt drama that blends humor with a unique visual style. The film follows a young woman’s journey to Paris, where her encounters with a figure skater bring both laughter and life lessons. Casey Landman shines as Julia, delivering hilarious moments in every scene. Director Nicola Rose creates a colorful, surreal atmosphere that blurs the line between reality and fantasy, adding depth to the story's emotional core. With a memorable cast, creative cinematography, and clever animated sequences, the film captures the challenges of love, self-discovery, and the bittersweet nature of personal growth. Charming, funny, and thought-provoking, Goodbye, Petrushka is a refreshing, indie gem that deserves a watch.

Goodbye, Petrushka is a charming story about the sometimes painful journey of finding one self and looking for love. Claire, a quirky and likable film student, is trying to find her place in a world that has a lot of judgments on her creative ideas.
The writer and director, Nicola Rose, has very creative ways to tell this story which makes this not your typical rom-com, it is unpredictable, surprising, and a really fun watch. I love the way she mixes story telling elements of animation which told the story in a natural and out-of-the-box way.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful indie film that breaks the mold of typical romantic comedies, Goodbye, Petrushka is the perfect pick! This refreshing movie follows Claire, a sweet and somewhat naïve character, as she navigates the ups and downs of life and love. With its witty humor and relatable moments, the film captures the essence of pursuing one's dreams while embracing the messiness of adulthood. The chemistry between Claire and her supporting cast, especially Julia, is spot on, making their journey feel genuine and heartfelt. Director Nicola Rose delivers a beautifully crafted story, complete with a fantastic soundtrack and a unique blend of cultures. With laughter, poignant moments, and an unexpected depth, this film reminds us of the joys of taking chances and finding ourselves. Don't miss out on this charming gem; it's sure to leave you smiling!
