Steve D A mixed bag but when it works it really works. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review David D I love this movie. I have to say I do have a bias because of the fact that it was filmed in my family's hometown. Pontiac Illinois. So it brings back a lot of good memories for me even though the movie isn't that great. I've seen worse! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/29/23 Full Review Jerod S A Dramedy, I missed this movie when going through the 80s phase a long time ago. Nothing really to report...just a good ole time american story / coming of age / relational mayhem kind of flick. Some young stars before they really got going. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/07/23 Full Review Audience Member This film about the love triangle between a teen (C. Thomas Howell) an older woman (Jamie Lee Curtis) and a married demolition derby driver (Patrick Swayze) has some good moments but mostly falls flat. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Lacklustre but oddly enjoyable bit of 1980s silliness. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A scattershot movie that doesn't work on any of the levels it tries for (love triangle, musical fantasies, girl stands up to the Man.) The great cast can't save it. It is interesting in its failures, though. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Matt Brunson Creative Loafing Swayze manages to create some sympathy for his character, but everything else about this picture, from the tepid romantic triangle to the awkward music-video segments, barely rises above silly. Rated: 2/4 Sep 25, 2016 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a forgettable bit of '80s nostalgia. Rated: 2/4 Nov 2, 2011 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice Another failed film about a small town and its ordinary people.
