Bloody Disgusting

The filmmakers toss subtlety out the window in favor of fun, in your face chills that stick their landing. They also know how to stretch their meager budget; the ghosts of past patients in this asylum play a major role in inducing goosebumps.

O grupo de produtores e apresentadores do reality show Fenômenos Paranormais vai passar a noite em um hospital psiquiátrico abandonado que possui a fama de ser mal-assombrado. Mais um filme barato (no sentido de baixo orçamento) de terror com temática found fottage, com a famosa narrativa das fitas encontradas e que estão sendo exibidas. Os diretores conseguem manter a tensão, principalmente da metade até o final, com um crescente de sustos. O diferencial aqui talvez seja a crítica que eles fazem a programas desse tipo que existem aos montes em canais de TV a cabo. O elenco é competente, mas não precisa de muita coisa mesmo. Há boas sequências, como os dos braços saindo das paredes. Não chega perto de uma Bruxa de Blair, mas cumpre bem o seu papel.
