Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting The filmmakers toss subtlety out the window in favor of fun, in your face chills that stick their landing. They also know how to stretch their meager budget; the ghosts of past patients in this asylum play a major role in inducing goosebumps. David L Very pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was. I wasn’t expecting much from it but really enjoyed it. From the start I thought I knew where the story was going and what would happen but the filmmakers really took it the extra mile. Nothing mind-blowing here but a really solid horror movie. Just goes to show that a low budget doesn’t have to mean bad. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/04/24 Full Review Brian M What a missed opportunity to do something interesting with a cool premise! In the final 30 minutes or so the plot kind of stalls in favor of gimmicks and jump scares. It actually became quite the endurance test as I waited for it to end. The acting is pretty bad, not that the actors had much to work with. Indeed, the script is the real issue here—you could almost make a drinking game based on the number of times a character screams “what the fuck?” or some variation of that. What a shame.
