Audience Member Dim documentary that sheds some decent light on real sharks and their environment, but gets out of topic at times. The narration is alright, and there's a nice amount of footage. Yet the movie gets sold as a killer shark movie, which it isn't. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review mike w The narrator is Glenn Ford and this documentary contained over an hour and half of footage of the Great White shark and attacks. It was a documentary which really was one of the first to promote an understand of the big beast death machine. Remember this was the start of the "Great White" era when every one was afraid to go in the water after "JAWS" was released. I remember seeing this when I was fourteen and I barely convinced my mom to let me go see it. She was afraid I would see some thing graphic and horrible. Over all the movie is slightly "made up or staged". There is a lot of real footage, but I remember seeing some scenes which didn't seem real. I guess the director was trying to get that wow factor from the audience. I know you can see bits of footage on the web and there is a DVD which has been released, but this is more of a curiosity documentary now. You can watch "Shark Week" on television now and get more updated information. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
