Synopsis
Dr. Samuel B. Ross Jr. founded Green Chimneys, a residential treatment center for at-risk juveniles, in 1947. A 160-acre farm near Brewster, New York, Green Chimneys helps both abused and neglected farm animals and the adolescents and teens (many refugees from the foster-care system or conventional therapy programs) who take care of them. Filmmakers Constance Marks and Bob Eisenhardt follow three boys through three years in the program in this intimate documentary.
