Unpopular Marge Bickford (Jess Gabor) is having a tough time navigating the minefield that is her high school. Not sure why all the negative reviews on this little gem of a film? I found it to be poignant and heart warming in spots, with radiant performances from Jess Gabor and Steve Zahn. It’s not necessarily going to be a blockbuster or award winner, but I found it very enjoyable. Give it a try.

Agreeably unique mixture between dysfunctional drama and sports practice with not much depth just to conform its structural duration with indecisive melodrama-focused climax that satisfies positively, mainly buoyed by the well-casted father-daughter performance with little resonance. (B)
