Australian college student Jennifer Carter (Naomi Watts) has a seemingly normal life with her widower father (Adrian Wright), until her crush on her married art history professor, Justin Thorne (Jimmy Smits), becomes an obsession. Acceptable Australian-filmed movie as Smits tries to clear his name, but Miller, at that point, did not have Hollywood-type money to play with. Sadly, it shows, but the man does his best.
