Audience Member As IMax films go, this one was pretty weak. Picture a 7 story screen which projects a small 4x3 square (sometimes squares) of picture(s) that 30 years later are transferred to the DVD for home video and then listen to various comments from family "why is the picture so small?" While this might have looked good in the theater and when the mosaic effect is used the actual all encompussing IMAX images are few and far between but when they do show themselves the pics are spectacular as the shuttle launches and another where the crowds gather awaiting the arrival. The later Shuttle Imax films are much better but if you're a space nut you might enjoy this nostalgic film.
