In this documentary, filmmaker Dennis O'Rourke examines the after effects of a 1954 American hydrogen bomb test in the Marshall Islands. Strong winds carried radiation from the Bikini Atoll test site to inhabited islands, and the consequences included grave illnesses and children born with birth defects. O'Rourke argues that the United States did not act quickly enough to protect the native population, and that it dismissed the subsequent health problems suffered by the islands' residents.
