Noura (Selim Boughedir) is in the throes of puberty, and it's making life difficult for him in his Tunisian town, where the lives of men and women are kept utterly separate. The boy finds himself accepted in neither world. He is not yet a man, and his interest in the female body has gotten him banned from the women's baths. Soon the sexually precocious 12-year-old is peeping on his female neighbor, salivating over his family's new servant and befriending local pariah Salih (Mohamed Driss).
