Glacial pacing and a series of highly unlikely plot contrivances manage to obscure positive attributes and leave you feeling like you've just seen a rather mediocre TV movie-of- the-week. Go to Full Review

We definitely could use more wholesome teenage flicks, but Hangman's Curse is just plain hokum -- not so much for the values it tries to convey, but the slipshod way it conveys them. Go to Full Review

... [these] are Christian filmmakers stooping to use the same manipulative storytelling tactics that anti-Christian filmmakers often use to express their own bias. Go to Full Review

The film does keep viewers' attention, and has some shining scenes. But it might also leave readers wondering how a pretty good book ended up as a not-so-great movie. Go to Full Review

The story makes little sense, while offering few surprises and even fewer scares...it might be a cinematic act of faith for some, but simply as a movie it's a travesty. Go to Full Review

MC R @RT91491190 Sep 3, 2026 Another DVD pick I own. This one I knew and saw before. The movie I forget I did had it in DVD. I don't what it is, but I liked this one better. Maybe it was because I saw 2 really bad movies I own. But this one felt better. I doubted between 2 and 3 stars. I chose 3 because I though it was interesting. I mean the acting was not really great and it was a little bit cringe. But not that bad and corny as the other movies. To be honest I though the story was okay and interesting. Little bit weird and over the top, still interesting though. It was a bit raw and loved the hole cursing plot, but the twist was just a guy on revenge. Gave me Scooby Doo vibes ๐Ÿ˜‚ Ps. Seeing the spiders gave me chills. Especially some scary shots. But it also made remember the movie and my trauma for spider for a just a little bit as a child after seeing the movie. ๐Ÿ˜‚ See more Stephen S. @stephenxsmith Nov 12, 2025 Nostalgic - one of the best scary โ€œChristianโ€ movies of all time. Gives that 2000โ€™s horror movie vibe through and through. See more Nov 10, 2019 The film runs like mystery and you are kept in suspense of "whodunit" until the end! See more Tim W @Timofdragons Oct 7, 2017 Pretty lame, nonsensical, and poorly made. Another movie genre Christians failed at. See more May 5, 2017 This feels like a slightly Christian episode of 'Goosebumps'. Production values and cast are fine, overall a strictly average affair. Surprisingly the author has a sizable role and is good! See more Sep 12, 2014 I'm SUPER afraid of spiders!!! In that aspect...this movie scared the crap out of me. Other than that...it was pretty dumb. I watched it years ago. See more Read all reviews
