When police detective Mason Storm (Steven Seagal) uncovers ties among corrupt cops, the mob and charismatic politician Vernon Trent (Bill Sadler), a hit is ordered on his family. During the attack, Storm's wife is killed, and the cop himself is severely injured. After waking up from a years-long coma, Storm, aided by gorgeous nurse Andy Stewart (Kelly LeBrock), slowly gets back on his feet and plots revenge against those who wronged him, particularly the duplicitous Sen. Trent.

The choreography of violence is competent enough to satisfy the more violence-addicted sector of the video public. For even a modicum of redeeming charm, wit or humor, however, Seagal is clearly no Schwarzenegger.

I get that Seagal in action is like a unaware parody cause he never gets hit and he never sweats. But beyond whatever unintentional comedy he brings to the table, there is no juice to the story or any performances in this.

After a strong debut with Above the Law, Seagal follows up with a bombastic, all guns blazing revenge thriller. Nobody put's Steven in a coma! Kelly LeBrock is just gorgeous.
