Architect Peter Clune (Hugh O'Brian) has taken up training harpy eagles in order to recover from his failed marriage with the vindictive Marian (Elizabeth Ashley). Slowly he begins a new romance with secretary Alison Reed (Marlyn Mason), while also forming a friendship with a local Native American boy, John (Tom Nardini). However, when Marian comes back into Peter's life, she systematically ruins all these new beginnings, including Peter's prized eagles, so that she can be with him.
