Maddy Casale Decider Between the clever and witty writing, talented and fully committed cast, and general air of silliness taken seriously, Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up is pure fun and magic in all its campy Christmasy glory. Nov 28, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Surprisingly fun farce. The writing is funny and delivered by actors hamming it up almost melodramatic. Looks like a sappy romcom holiday film but it certainly a big step up. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/25 Full Review SkyRo P “Haul Out the Holly” is a delightful Hallmark film that premiered in 2023, featuring Lacey Chabert in the lead role. The story presents a whimsical twist on holiday traditions, centering around a celebrity family that moves into a new neighborhood, only to clash with the strict rules enforced by the homeowners' association (HOA). The family's refusal to comply with the HOA’s regulations sets off a chain of events that sends the entire town into a frenzy. One of the amusing aspects of Hallmark films is Lacey’s frequent appearances across various titles, often sharing romantic moments with different co-stars. This can be a bit disorienting for viewers, as they find themselves trying to keep track of her various on-screen romances and figuring out which movie they’re watching. Despite its quirks, this film offers plenty of comedic and heartwarming scenes. While it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, it’s certainly enjoyable and provides some laughs along the way. It features a few memorable moments, making it a light-hearted watch during the holiday season. However, like many holiday films, it’s one that you’re likely to enjoy once and then set aside until the next festive season rolls around. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/26/24 Full Review Aerial S Great if you like cheesy family comedy’s. A lot of gen z/millennial coded humor. I clicked on it because it looked goofy and it definitely did not disappoint me. I’m sure plenty of people will find it annoying or cringe. I like seeing more movies about ‘influencer families’, which have been popping up quite a bit in real life, and the people who deal with them. This as well as the effect is has on the children in these families. It very lightly discusses this, but I thought it was neat. Enjoyable as my first Hallmark movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/23/24 Full Review Monica S Honestly this an awful movie. The storyline is awful! I just wasted an hour of my life I’ll never get back. I love a hallmark Christmas movies but this was beyond cheesy and annoying. I do not recommend! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/24 Full Review Horror fan 4 Not as good as the first movie. This movie started off great but fizzled leading into the third act. Tim Treakle Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/24 Full Review Michael B The first one was decent, so I had high hopes for the sequel. Those hopes were dashed. This dippy film full of obnoxious karens irritates to the point of being unwatchable. It really isn't good. The Johnson family are so obnoxious I hated them immediately. As does everyone else. I reached for the remote numerous times and only finished it to finish it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Read all reviews
